At the 2013 New York International Auto Show, Subaru announced the very first All-wheel Drive Hybrid vehicle— The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid.

The assignment was clear— Communicate the launch of an exciting new car, as well as highlight the company's continuous dedication and responsibility for our environment.

With that, my partner Kim and I challenged ourselves to come up with a solution that not only shared the same spirit of being ecologically conscious, but also create an experience that was relevant, innovative, and memorable.

Making a mark without leaving one


Instead of the typical brochure handouts, at this activation we invited event attendees to witness a live silkscreening event where they were able to grab a free t-shirt or tote bag with inspiring messaging. The give-aways also acted as trigger images that launched exclusive interactive content on mobile devices that were engineered specifically for exploring the new car. All-in-all limiting the amount of waste while promoting art, innovation, and sustainability.
